Out of Control is based on a true story about a school teacher that decided to treat some of her more difficult students to an afternoon at the carnival. She had hoped to use the weekend experience to gain a better relationship with them. As the students moved around the Merry-Go-Round, the teacher's mind transformed the human children and the creatures that they rode into hideous, vicious monsters. She was taken away screaming and hospitalized. A song was written about this painting by Matt Evans and his band Old Flings.
